Delicious Korean Kimchi Recipe

Kimchi, formerly known as Chim-Chae, is a Korean dish made from marinated vegetables. In Korea, kimchi is used as a side dish (banchan) to accompany rice and is often used as an additional seasoning for cooking, such as for cooking kimchi soup, kimchi fried rice, and many other Korean recipes that use kimchi.

Korean Kimchi Ingredients:

  • 1 piece of chicory / white radish that has been washed
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 tbsp Small Dried Shrimp
  • 3 tsp chili powder
  • 1/2 tbsp grated garlic
  • 1/2 tsp sugar
  • 1/2 tsp grated ginger
  • 1/2 tsp fish sauce
  • 1 tbsp salt


How to Make Kimchi Korean Cuisine:

  1. Sprinkle salt on each floret of chicory / white radish until evenly distributed in each part.
  2. Leave for about 6 hours / until the vegetables look wilted.
  3. After it looks wilted, wash it clean.
  4. Cut the chicory / radish into several pieces.
  5. Mix chicory/radish with small dried shrimp, garlic, chili powder, lime juice, fish sauce, ginger, and salt.
  6. Leave in the refrigerator one day.
  7. After one day kimchi can be enjoyed.
